Joomla Template Maker
planettucker.com is where you can learn more about this tool and how to get it. Needless to say I think it is beyond amazing and saves you literally weeks of time in trying to develop a UNIQUE Joomla template. Whether you know code or not, this tool and its interface makes quick work of creating one, and one that no other human being has. It also equally makes just as cool WordPress and Drupal templates, but my favorite is Joomla so that is what the video is around. You basically use the interface to make whatever template you want, and then you choose the export option which in turn changes which template it makes (ie WordPress, Drupal or Joomla). You zip up the file and all details are taken care of for you. I couldn't recommend it enough!

Using templates in Dreamweaver provides an easy way to build new pages, make sitewide changes and hand off updates to the customer.

@LoneSoldierRyan – there is an option in the the program to change this. If you don’t want them to show just delete the text that is there and it outputs ‘nothing’.
June 18th, 2011 - 12:44

@anonazero – sorry for the delay and excellent question. The software makes all your module positions for you – over 26 now I believe – very very extensive. Hope this helps and thanks for the contact!
June 18th, 2011 - 16:35
@LoneSoldierRyan – so simply delete them from the ‘header’ section and it will show ‘nothing’. Thanks for the question hope this helps.
June 18th, 2011 - 17:20
what if you do not want the text on the header banner thing? if you have a banner of your own but you do not want the text to show in that section?
June 18th, 2011 - 17:54
thank you so much for this video. i’ve been struggling to learn joomla 1.6 and i have extensive html/css/php knowledge. its a very complicated animal. i’m about to give this software a shot but i have a question. it appears as though you made a template and just loaded it in without having to set up your module positions. is this a feature of the software or just because you edited an existing template?

June 18th, 2011 - 20:33
correct – as of this post Artisteer isn’t geared for Joomla 1.6 yet.
June 18th, 2011 - 20:53
Not working on Joomla 1.6 !

@Ladyluck8987 – In the program make sure that your logo is set to 100%. Otherwise yes, you’ll see this effect. If you move your logo around at all and you have it the size you need, STILL hit the 100% button in the software and it will give you the sharper quality look. Or, if your like me, I’ll add an entire header AFTER I render it down, and sometime make my own module position up there so clients can change their logo when they want. Thanks for the contact, hope this helps.
June 18th, 2011 - 22:05
In the trial version it has all the watermarks on it and I have noticed that if you upload your own logo it is pretty crappy quality even if you have saved it in photoshop in maximum quality. If I was to buy this program would the trial images and my logo be fixed? I had to restart my computer so I did not get to save the template I created but I did export it to look at it on my joomla website and aside from the watermarks it looked great. So will all that be corrected?

When I rpeview tall the flash content dissapears and I only see the text (Ive defined the website and saved the template)

quick question, once web page is sliced up and exported to dreamweaver, in the editable region of the main content area, i can only enter text no more then the exact height of the div tag, I know that I can choose not put any height at all in there, but when I do so my entire webpage gets broken up…any ideas?
